J. Peter Schmidt (施 玉 山)was born on April 24th, 1962 in Germany. He is married with 3 children.

Education qualification and work experiences:-
•Diploma in stage directing and acting
•10 years position at a municipal theater as stage director and actor
•Diploma in Waldorf Education (3-year fulltime teacher training course in Stuttgart)
•11 years of experience as Waldorf teacher (one passage through classes 1 – 8 as class teacher)
•Theater productions with different age groups in various German Waldorf Schools
•Author of a number of plays for schools
•Teacher training work in the Waldorf movement in China (Chengdu and Beijing) since 2009.
•Teacher training work in Malaysia
•Theater productions in Chengdu of plays written especially for the students of the Chengdu Waldorf Teacher Training Institute – all performances in Mandarin!
•Romeo and Juliet with grade 8 in Chengdu
•Romeo and Juliet with grade 9 in Taiwan

J. Peter Schmidt draws from his extensive experience in the fields of theater and Waldorf Education and permeates artistic theater work with the spirit of Waldorf pedagogy. He brings the educating power of art into play, out of which he develops “the art of education,” as inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s “education as an art.”
