Stefan Langhammer was born in 1959 in Berlin/Germany. He initially studied in the field of industrial sales and then changed his direction to become a Waldorf Teacher. He studied biology, chemistry and German language and literature from 1982-1989 in Freiburg. After this he worked for three years as teacher and co-worker in a German Therapeutic Community for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. From 1992-2004 Stefan was a high school teacher in the fields of biology, chemistry and German in a German Waldorf School. Since autumn 2004, he has been a co-worker for the Medical Section at the Goetheanum, responsible for the International Postgraduate Medical Training (IPMT) and finances.
In connection with the IPMTs he has guided phenomenological observations and text studies since 2005 and has offered several workshops about pharmaceutical themes. He is member of the International Medical Trainer Circle since 2007; his special interest is related to didactic questions.
